Things we are good at: Tebowing, planking and owling

This Christmas I had my family do a bunch of dorky stuff, namely Tebowing, planking and owling.  Apparently there are other silly people out there that combine all these fads, too.  Who knew?

Apparently we were good enough to make their website: http://tebowplanks.com/2601/tebow-plank-owl-christmas/

Check out http://www.tebowplanks.com/ for a sampling of people that are just as dumb as us.

This is how we do Christmas - Planking, Owling and Tebowing

We all survived yet another Christmas, and this one was special since it was Hank's first one.  It was also probably the cheapest one that we'll ever have again.  Since Hank's now just about 3 months old we didn't buy him anything.  But next year we won't be able to get off so easily.

We went to my Mom's house on Christmas Eve.  Being the dorks that we are I thought it would be fun to try and pull off all the latest and greatest trends of the past few years - all at once!  So below you'll see a selection of Planking (2009'ish), Owling (2010'ish), Tebowing (2011)....and I'm debuting the newest trend - Hail Marying (2012).

When you start seeing people Hail Marying you will know that my Mom started it all.  You can see her inspiration - she has a crazy big collection of Virgin Mary's (see big bookcase in the background of some pics below, on the left).
My brothers Max (Tebowing) and Christian (Owling)

Watch for it in 2012.

A visit from a celebrity!

I guess word has gotten out about the new boy in town.  Just yesterday we had a visit from a celebrity, none other than Jesco White aka The Dancing Outlaw!

The final countdown, or Planking and Skanking

No baby yet.  :(  I'm scheduled to be induced at 7am this Thursday (day after tomorrow) unless Hank decides to cooperate before then all on his own.  In the meantime, with the weather finally manageable I'll try to get a few last things done around the house and generally try to enjoy my last few baby-free days.

This may be my last post until Hank arrives, so here are a few funny pics that I took recently and hadn't posted yet.

Here's my bro, Christian, planking my Mom's couch on the day we moved her

Here's my hubby, Julian, skanking it up in the carrot costume we found among my Mom's things

My nephew, Ashton, planking the bbq at our annual Hunger family reunion

Tattood Baby back pieces

My husband, Julian, had a great idea - tattood baby back pieces!  Not sure if getting your baby tattood is legal or not, maybe in Portland since we're so "weird!".  The advantage is that you do save a lot of money - the baby's back is small, so it would be a lot cheaper to have a full back piece done.  And then it could just grow with them as they got bigger.  You are making a big decision for them when you decide what will be on their back for the rest of their lives, but, heh, you're their parents - you have to make the tough decisions.
